The Sabbath a last day test?

Some will say the mark of the beast cannot be a day.

True, it is not the day itself that is the mark..  so what is the mark of the beast?

The mark of the beast is the opposite to the seal of God.
A seal is the mark of authority of an organization or person to make legal documents or laws.

This seal is usually stamped on all their important documents to show they are official and legally binding.

This was also the case in Bible times.
In 1 Kings 21:8 we read that Jezebel took it upon herself to send an official letter to all the elders of Israel.   "So she wrote letters in Ahab's name, and sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters unto the elders."

In those days they melted wax on their documents and then pressed their special ring which contained their name and insignia, into the wax, leaving the imprint.   Thus the elders, on receiving the letters regarded them as official letters from the king.

Now in the Bible we don't have a seal of melted wax with an imprint of God's seal, yet God did leave His seal in the legally binding law which He wrote with His own finger on Mt. Sinai.

Within that law we can find that seal which contains
1. His name -- The Lord thy God
2. His office or entitlement to authority -- Creator
3. Territory -- heaven and earth

You will find that "seal" in the 4th commandment.

Exodus 20:10 The seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: [in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is] within thy gates:
20:11 For [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it

Now the seal doesn't just concern the fourth commandment.   Yet it is the official  seal showing the whole of that document is a legally binding document.   And for us to receive that seal in our foreheads those laws must be written (by the power of the Holy Spirit) into our minds.

In other words -- God's ways of righteousness need to be imprinted into our very lives.

Yet the Sabbath is still the sign of Whose laws we chose to have imprinted in our lives.

It is no secret that Catholic church claims Sunday as her sign of authority over and above the law of God.

The question comes down to -- who do we pay homage to by the day we keep holy?

"It was the Catholic church which...has transferred this rest to the Sunday in remembrance of the resurrection of our Lord. Thus the observance of Sunday by the Protestants is an homage they pay, in spite of themselves, to the authority of the [Roman Catholic] church." Monsignor Louis Segur, Plain Talk About the Protestantism of Today, 1868, p. 213.

So Sunday is their "mark" or "seal".   commanded by the Papal Church, who claims authority was vested in her by Christ, and who claims as her territory the churches of the world.

What is the last warning message to world?

We find it in the three angel's messages.

The urgent call is to worship (pay homage to) the Creator God, the One who made heaven and earth and the fountains of water.

Rev. 14:7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

Thus the same seal is found in the first angel's message as that which is found in the fourth commandment.

We also know the devil's war is against those who keep God's commandments and the faith of Jesus.  Rev. 12:17 and 14:12
